November 27

mmmmmm, banana bread.

February 26

the under of the overpass in our town. The railroad tracks are the dark lines across the lower third. Please excuse the car window. I do intend to go back and get a better shot out of the car, but dh was in a hurry this time. ;) I am happy with the sepia toning on this. I figured out how to do custom toning in PSE. whoohoo for me! :)

Stalker Mode

I had my stalker moments.

Kelli Noto, me, and Michelle Peard at the Designer dinner. I met Michelle at the Sunday International booth and we totally hit it off. She even dragged her boss to the dinner because I said it was a good marketing opportunity. Kelli is someone whose work I admire very much. I followed every photography post she ever posted on 2ps and I loved meeting her in person. (and she knew my stuff! how cool is that??)
If you scrap, you know who this is. For my family: this is Stacy Julian, the editor of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine. Only the one magazine I've been dying to break into since they started publishing it. I may get my chance. ;)
also someone my scrapping friends will recognize. Family, this is Lisa Bearnson. She started Creating Keepsakes magazine. if you don't know what that is, well, CK is to scrapbooking like Sports Illustrated is to sports.
Lisa with all the PBP people. Jason says he's going to frame it and hang it at the office. ;)

I also met Faye Marrow Bell, Donna Downey, and Erin Lincoln none of which I got pictures with. I did take a picture for Donna though and she even pretended to know me from Scraps Ahoy. She's cool. ;)

The Venitian

all the hotels have mini malls inside them. the more expensive the room, the more expensive the shops. The cheap store at the Venitian is Ann Taylor. I totally fell in love with a skirt in the window though. it was just beautiful. Navy blue raw silk with a very light grey band around the bottom. sigh. I'm so totally making one for myself as soon as I can find suitable fabric.

The Paris

We did some walking of the Strip on Monday night. This is the Paris as seen from the Belagio.

They even have a small version of the Arc de Triumph. the only thing it needs to look more authentic is Lance Armstrong riding through it ;) (ok, so I stole Jason's joke, but it was a good one.)

This is one of the mermaids from the fountain out front. The fountains in front of these hotels are just gorgeous. it's no wonder all the hotels make you ask for water. look how much is in the fountains! LOL!

Kristy Lee had visited France and so she knew there would be a pastry shop in The Paris. and of course she was right. We ordered Eclairs. I ate mine the next morning and it was delicious. It was the only time all week I didn't feel like I had been overcharged for my food.

The Polar Bear Press Booth

This is where I spent at least half my time at CHA. I loved it! seriously, selling the product was one of the very best parts of the show.

These are the new Polar Bear Press Doodle-Rubs! the ones I designed are the alpha on the top left and the two phrase sheets on the bottom. Kristy Lee designed the adorable flowers (so can not wait to get those) and Ursula Page designed the cute arrows and hearts in the center.
